I help run 5G-MAG – The Media Connectivity Association day to day: member projects and activities, workshops and events such as the Future Media Townhall at IBC, and relations with members, the media and international fora.

Feature lead for time-frequency interleaving in Rel-19 for the EBU, including the definition of RRC parameters. Earlier, delegate for LTE-based 5G Terrestrial Broadcast (Rel-16) with the EBU, BBC and IRT: requirements, simulation assumptions, evaluation results and new numerologies for rooftop reception.

Representing 5G-MAG in standardization forums on codecs, delivery protocols, cloud/edge architectures and XR services.

DVB-NGH (Time Frequency Slicing; framing, sounding and synchronization), the TM-MIMO study mission on next-generation terrestrial TV, and the TM-WIB study on Wideband Broadcasting, including its final report.
ATSC 3.0
Proposals on Time Frequency Slicing and Advanced Network Planning to the TG3/S32-3 ad-hoc group on the ATSC 3.0 waveform.

While at IRT: chair of the EBU 5G-Deployments industry group and delegate to the EBU Mobile Technology Standards group.

Day-to-day management of 5G-MAG – The Media Connectivity Association: member projects and activities, workshops and events, member relations, communication with the media and international fora, and the association's website, social media and GitHub. Lead of the Reference Tools programme and EBU delegate in 3GPP RAN1.
3GPP RAN1 delegate for LTE-based 5G Terrestrial Broadcast (Rel-16), chair of the EBU 5G-Deployments group, and project leader for the 5G-PPP projects 5G-Xcast and 5G-SOLUTIONS. Built software-defined-radio demonstrators for IBC and MWC.
EU-funded technical assistance for the rollout of digital terrestrial television in Colombia.
Standardization of next-generation TV systems (DVB-T2, DVB-NGH, ATSC 3.0), link-level simulation, coverage planning, field measurements, and coexistence studies between digital TV and LTE in the 700/800 MHz bands. Postdoctoral researcher from 2016 with a Generalitat Valenciana APOSTD grant. Research stays at Teracom (2013–14) and KTH (2014) in Stockholm, and at IRT in Munich (2015, 2017–18).
Cum laude, with International Doctorate mention. Thesis: Improved Spectrum Usage with Multi-RF Channel Aggregation Technologies for the Next-Generation Terrestrial Broadcasting. M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering (2010) and M.Sc. in Technologies, Systems and Telecommunication Networks (2011), both at UPV.
7 R&D projects and 8 industry contracts, from EU research programmes to engagements with broadcasters, operators and technology companies. Project leader at IRT for 5G-Xcast and 5G-SOLUTIONS, with live demonstrators at IBC and MWC.
Also an invited talk on 5G technology and multimedia applications (2024), talks at ETSI, SMPTE, ITU WSIS and TII Abu Dhabi, demonstrations at IBC and MWC, and many 3GPP, DVB and EBU meetings.
